DARBCO Robotics Signs Strategic Agreement to Supply Robotic Cleaning Solutions for One of the Region’s Largest Landmark Solar Projects – AM Solar East Amman (51.95 MW)
DARBCO Robotics has announced the signing of a strategic supply agreement with AM Solar, which represents a consortium comprising Nebras Power, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and AES Corporation, to deliver robotic solar panel cleaning solutions for the AM Solar – East Amman plant (51.95 MW), one of Jordan’s leading utility-scale solar energy projects.
The agreement follows a comprehensive phase of technical assessments and operational trials aimed at identifying the most effective solar panel cleaning technologies to maximize energy output, improve plant performance, and ensure long-term asset sustainability.
DARBCO’s solution was selected based on its proven technical reliability, operational efficiency, and strong economic performance. DARBCO’s robotic systems are designed to reduce soiling losses, enhance solar panel efficiency, and lower operation and maintenance (O&M) costs, supporting improved return on investment for large-scale solar power plants.
The agreement was formally signed by Monther Fadel, CEO of DARBCO, and Firas Hammad, CEO of AM Solar, in the presence of Mohammad Hammad, Engineering Director; Khaled Salameh, Director of Operation & Maintenance; and Mazen Al-Amro from AM Solar, alongside Alaa Mustafa and Rami Maher from DARBCO.
This project is considered the largest in Jordan in terms of adopting robotic cleaning systems, featuring 133 fully automated cleaning units, each measuring 8 meters in length. These systems are equipped with the capability to monitor and analyze dust levels in the surrounding environment, enabling intelligent and autonomous cleaning operations that ensure optimal efficiency and sustainable performance.
This partnership highlights the commitment of AM Solar to adopting advanced clean energy technologies and reinforces DARBCO’s position as a provider of innovative solar cleaning solutions that support efficiency, reliability, and sustainable energy development in Jordan and the wider region.
